She is best known for her 1862 sensation novel Lady Audley's Secret. Braddon was an extremely prolific writer, producing more than 80 novels with very inventive plots but all are now scarce, somem like this one, exceedingly so. Last seen at auction in 1999. Complete in three volumes. In green cloth bindings. Externally sound, though with bumping and marks. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright, though with some marks and patches of foxing. Good.
