This book discusses some of the activities of some of the 'exorcists' within the Catholic Church (those resident in Italy). I found it interesting that Pope John Paul II opined that evil was the result of human freedom, not "an impersonal, deterministic force at work in the world." However, the number of 'authorized' exorcists in the Catholic Church has risen dramatically in the last decade. The last chapter discusses some of the views of scientists and medical practitioners.
