a unique story from a hearing impaired person
As a person with a hearing loss similar to Josh Swiller's and also with a few years working in Africa , I found his story unique.
It was well written, telling of his life and the people he grew close to in Zambia during his time in the Peace Corps.
I have read almost all books by hearing impaired people and like myself, he straddles the deaf and hearing worlds since he had some hearing into childhood although he struggled with the severe difficuties of communicating we all have.
He can articulate those problems well, and i would say unlike anybody else who has written on that life.
