One thing the set does have going for it is that these are not interpretations, but the actual orchestral and chamber music from the soundtracks themselves. This is not just some generic orchestra playing the composer's pieces. Rota himself conducted everything here. The recordings have been cleaned up considerably to make for a delightful hour of listening.
