Featuring an introduction by Mohawk Chief Jake Swamp, co-founder of the international Tree of Peace Society. The format of the main text is laid out in two columns. Each section in the U.S. Constitution in the right column is compared side-by-side with the parallel section from the Iroquois constitution called the Great Law of Peace. While the parallels are unmistakable, the contrasts are even more interesting. For example, the first requirement to be an Iroquois chief is the must be honest. Nowhere in the Constitution is there such a requirement to be honest.
