The Thrill of Victory is one of my favorite Sandra Brown early romances. I find both characters appealing (but I am a sucker for her men anyway) and it is charming without being sentimental Stevie Corbett has to decide, risk her health to be a winner take all sports star or fade into being "has-been" but healthy. Sports writer Judd Mackie has his own way of making her decide.
