James Joseph Walsh, M.D., LL. D., Litt. D., Sc. D. (1865-1942) was an American physician and author. He graduated from Fordham College in 1884. In addition to contributing to the New International Encyclopedia and to medical and other journals, he also published a variety of popular works. His works include: The Thirteenth: Greatest of Centuries (1907), Old-Time Makers of Medicine (1911) and Safeguarding Children's Nerves (1924).
