AWESEOME book
This book is written for teenagers about how to live a free, productive, exciting, balanced life where they learn about what they want to learn and pursue their passions. It has changed my life. It's been many years since I first read it (in 11th grade--I'm just finishing college now), but I still periodically spend an hour or two reading through some of it. It's been a guide for me as I chart my life, and move closer to how I want to live. Reading it brings me out of my current day-to-day reality and reminds me about what's possible in life, and how it can feel to be free and doing what I really want to do. It offers its reader a big taste of what a life full of freedom, balance, relationships, and exploration can be like. It also has all kinds of information on how to make it happen--how to rediscover your love of learning and your trust in yourself. The best part, I think, is reading all the stories about the lives of unschoolers. It's inspiring and freeing. It's also very practical and chock full of resources about books, organizations, and all kinds of other things to help you achieve your "Tailor-Made Educational Extravaganza." I wish I could communicate more strongly how exciting and important and freeing this book is, and how different it is than anything else I've encountered. I highly recommend it!
