I bought this book for my 16 year son who loves baseball especially the Red Sox for Christmas. He got many books for Christmas but this one he chose first and fell in love with the story. He finished it in less than two days - he also played video games and was a typical teenager. Finally I got him hooked on a book. He reads but mostly what school assigns and to him sometimes school books are not all that interesting. Some times I think kids get discouraged from reading because they are not able to read what they enjoy and they loose interest in reading for fun. If you love baseball, history this is a great read for all ages. My husband is next to read it.
