The "Tao" (pronounced "Dao") is a marvelous gift, from ancient Chinese culture. In our search for expanded spirituallity, meaning, and understanding, the Tao comes as close as man can (in my opinion) to godliness. Grounded in reality, everything identifiable in real life, we can simplify and elevate ourselves through the Tao. Suffering from so many translations and interpolations, the Tao has emerged in a few translations simple and workable into our own lives; This (again in my opinion) is one of them. 81 chapters covering Center and Ground, process and principle, and anything else useful in everyday life, or any time at all. A little recollection and one can assuage most any difficulty. I believe John Heider has interpreted what "Lao Tzu" (the writer of the initial text) intended.
