The Synagogue Survival Kit provides details about prayers and the organization and structure of the prayers in Synaoguge services. The mystery of what is recited for morning [Shacharit], afternoon [Mincha], and evening [Ma'ariv]) services, for weekdays, Shabbat, and holidays is all solved in this book. All movements of Judaism are covered. This book will provide a deeper understanding of why prayers are said and at what time, however, early beginners may want to start with reading their Synagogue's siddur first (sometimes you can borrow it after asking). The book is highly technical and may overwhelm some people. However, as the author says, just start by reading the first paragraph of each section to begin your understanding. Later, you can come back and read more. Simply said, reading this book will result in more confidence when entering a Synagogue.
