It describes medical symptoms and treatments, and gives solid practical information about how to respond to specific emergencies, plus advice on such issues as disaster planning and mass-transportation strategies in the event of an attack. Of course it is hoped that no-one will ever have cause to take the information in this book beyond the theoretical and into practice - but to be ready to do so is both reassuring and empowering.
