this is a good book to begin a study of god's suffering. much more study is needed to gain a better understanding of God and what He has done for mankind. I f God pays the penalty for the saved, does his suffering continue eternally??? The unsaved suffer eternally. next i will read "the prophets" by heschel to try to increase my understanding.
