Seller's Description:
Good. Octavo, 407pp., illustrated with portrait and two foldout maps. Overall just a good copy in the publisher's decorative cloth. Spine a bit cocked, spine ends rather worn, and the front free endpaper has been excised, due to a previous owner's unscrupulous gluing of that leaf to the next leaf, which has a contemporary gift inscription. The gift inscription leaf has old, dried paste as a result. While this is a rather ugly defect, the rest of the volume is clean and bright internally, with both maps appearing unopened. A regrettable, but still serviceable copy.
