My husband loved this book. H e shared it with his friend who had similar interests. I'm sure he will have me order more books. I know he will never purchase a Kindle.

Terrifc Read
This historical novel is one of the best I have ever read...the author captures the essence of WWII and the D Day invasion of France. Mr. Shaara is a master of revealing to the reader the mindset of Generals, Jr. Officers and enlisted men who actually participated in the battles fought on Normandy's beaches...I read this in three days...couldn't put it down.

Panoramic and fast paced
I have all of Jeff Shaara's books along with Killer Angels by his dad, Michael. This is one of his best. I'm a Civil War and WWII buff, and yet I learn new details in almost every chapter. This is a great read for a rainy weekend or a long flight. You want to keep turning pages to see who wins!
