Based upon actual events. Heart-breakingly beautiful photography and musical score. Fine performances all around. For all ages, although knowledge of the Scriptures is helpful in "getting" all the allusions. Nevertheless, the story stands alone "as is" whether one knows the Scriptures or not. Highly recommended. Don't miss it.

The Staircase
This is a fictional story based on a real staircase in New Mexico. It was a wonderful story. It ranks among my all time favorites. I saw it years ago and have thought of it time and again. I plan to add it to my small home collection soon. Barbara Hershey, William Petersen, and Diane Ladd were my favorites in the movie version.
