As you may know, Harrison's 'Stainless Steel Rat' stories detail interspace espionage in which spy Jim diGriz (a name which denotes slipperiness) works for the SPECIAL CORP., a galactic-wide force for good that uses crooks to catch crooks.
This one is another installment of the Gray Men. The story runs sluggishly at first, I suppose, because it's keeping track with THOSE people. But then, you cannot say enough about Harrison's characters' name invention, e.g., Kangg (sounds like a medium-sized gong with very little 'give'). All in all, this is a light-hearted nod to an adventure spiced with much devil-may-care recklessness.
I always look forward to reading 'Stainless Steel Rat's' exploits.
