Great Series
A while back I picked up another of the books by this author at a yard sale. I was familiar with the story of the USA's "lady spies" such as Julia Child already, but had never heard of Aline Countess of Romanones. The book turned out to be fascinating reading, and I have since acquired two more of her memoirs, including this one. This book might not be great literature, but the reader soon feels like she's (he's) right there next to Aline, listening in to conversation, seeing the characters, and experiencing the thrill (and fear) along with her. I'm really glad not to have missed these stories. (Note: The other two "Spy" stories are "The Spy Wore Red" and "The Spy Wore Silk".)
