Spiral Staircase
Book was well written and easy to read. It wasn't gloomy as I thought it would be but moved easily along and was very informative about the later books she wrote. I had read her book, History of God, which had impressed me , and I had seen her on History Channel and PBS.

Spiritual book for recovering Catholics
This book is a great read. Karen's search for God took her from being a nun to the secular academic world and from that place into one of open communication with a larger vision of herself and our definition of "God". There she found a more encompassing God, a larger vision of what "spiritual" means. Her struggles with her beliefs are inspiring and informative for those of us on a similar quest for individuation and self-expression.
