After many years I've got my copy. When I was a slightly seasoned woodworker Nakashima's book came out. It was "for use only in the library". A friendly librarian got me a copy and gave me permission to take it home. I pored over the conoid chairs, butterfly keys, Slab tables and desks. The price at the time, to me, was astronomical. I took the book out a few times and then stored it existence somewhere in my mental file cabinets. Lately I came to a few references to the tables and chairs and gave a look to buying a copy on line. Wowser! The book had become Iconic and expensive. But, recently Alibris offered a copy at a price I could live with from a Sally Store in Seattle. Low and behold it was in fine shape (I'm not a collector) and signed by Kevin, George's son. It's now in my shop and I read it again during breaks and when I suffer from lack of confidence in my work and life. It cheers me and I soon see a way to solve my dilemma.
