I've had a fascination with Gladys Aylward's life for decades now. As a Sunday school teacher, I loved sharing stories I had learned from another biography about her with my students. Her life held their attention and was inspiring. The movie "Inn of Sixth Happiness" gives an idea of her life, but isn't factual enough. This was the book I hoped it would. It was written by the author who first brought her to America's attention years ago and gives more details than I found in other books. I recommend it.

The Small Woman
This is one of my favorite books. It is a true and inspiring story of an English missionary who changed the course of history in China.
