Modest Blaise is a talented young woman, with a criminal past, who ends up on a series of action filled adventures with her sidekick Willie Garvin. Aside from the comic strip, Blaise featured in a total of eleven novels and two short story collections. Peter O'Donnell was a British writer of mysteries and comic strips. Though best known for his Modesty Blaise series, he was also a award winning gothic romance novelist, writing under the pseudonym Madeleine Brent.
