Kane, like Cornwell, is becoming "Boiler Plate". Same theme; the hero is always in deep slop; nobody likes him; there always a beautiful young thing who needs res cuing. I got one hundred pages into this one and couldn't take anymore. Up till now I liked Kane but not so much after this.
