A very interesting book! I thought it was going to be some boring biography, but it was great! It's very humorous, and it also gives great insight to the conditions the people are living in. Overall a great book!

Hilarious Atoll Adventure
Troost has a very entertaining way of retelling his few years on an atoll in the South Pacific. The humor is truly laugh-out-loud funny. I have read it more than a few times, highly recommended.

LOL Funny
I absolutely love this book! I've always wondered what it would be like to just quit my job and move to a little island in the pacific and live with the locals. This is exactly what Troost does in this book. He is sarcastic and super funny. I actually laughed out loud numerous times while reading it. It's quite a conversation starter too if you want to meet people...I can't tell you how many people would comment about it when I was reading it in public. I gift this book to all my friends.

Madness and Laughter Await
The first chapter of this book does not do the remainder justice. Sex Lives is a hilarious tale of Troost's life upon a coral atoll in the Pacific. Whether being bombarded by the incessant beat of the macarena (a national treasure!) or encountering savage dogs and hilarious locals, the author never leaves you without a stitch in your side from laughing. I had to call into work to finish this book and was so sad by the time I reached the final page. I wanted MORE! Need a giggle? To laugh out loud? Read Sex Lives (but push yourself through the first chapter- it is a bit dry). You won't be sorry! Great beach/summer read.
