Seven Story Mountain
A great journey story of navigating poetry and religion. This edition with larger print is easier to follow than older editions. A spiritual moveable feast set in Newy York City at Columbia as Merton through the Eucharist draws closer to his calling.

Excellent Conversion Story
i'm only through half the book, but it is an invaluable tool, a true testament, for any modern man who is a seeker. Most seekers that i know are led to a path to God, if their search is sincere ; here we have a very communicable biography of one such conversion. So far, I would even go so far as to rate it right up there with Augustine's " Confessions." To lead us in this modern world, we need more hearfelt and simple accounts such as Thomas Merton's.
