To our parents, at least, we are the same bright-faced boys and girls they started off to school over twelve years ago. In the truth, these twelve years have brought no great hardships to us. We have developed both physically and mentally and we are hoping to be a credit to those who have helped us on. It is now our turn to take up the bur dens which our parents have formerly borne without our help. The world is beset by a universal catastrophe, just now, and a universal catastrophe is apt to develop into an individual problem. Younger brothers and sisters of ours may have to forego these opportunities for edu cation which it has been our privilege to enjoy, and which we have gratefully accepted. The strength of our elders is being sorely taxed; we must come through, and come through nobly to their rescue.
