This feature film directed by Joe Johnston of CAPTAIN AMERICA fame, is set in a similar period and, in my opinion, is a much better film. And as it was a better film, it's amazing that it fared so poorly in theaters in its time. The story was better put together, there was a lot less blue-screen work, and you knew this was a story of the American versus the Nazis, flags were seen (unlike CA, which almost seemed apologetic in its showing of the American flag in an effort to make it more global, and the Nazi flag was practically non-existent).
Also, Jennifer Connelly... could she have looked any more smoking? She never looked better than when she stared in this film and Alex Proyas' DARK CITY (1998).
In all ways, this was a superior film that needed more recognition than it got. A fun adventure that established its rules at the beginning of the story and sticks with them all the way through. It has great acting and characterization. What a true five-star film should be.
This film has much of the feel of that generation. It has the fears of mobsters, Nazis, spies, and the advancement of technologies.
As for the quality of the product, it came new, blu-ray wrapped in its packaging. The seller did a great job with it.
