The end result is in many cases like a more contemporary Serge Gainsbourg, with beats and grooves mixed in here and there. It's a relatively airy affair, if somewhat somber at times. It's a fitting mood for what would seem to be an album motivated in large part by lost love and reminiscence. The entirety of the album is slick and well engineered, with nary a beat out of place.
