I have always admired William F. Buckley, Jr. and even though his Northeast Brahmin accent can shade his words, it his masterful word craft that stimulates my interest in reading his books.
I admit I have only read 20% of the book, but I after reading that much and previewing the rest of the book to see what to expect, I am actually slightly disappointed. ?THE REAGAN I KNEW? has more than ample material about the Nancy Reagan Mr. Buckley knew. There are a number letters of correspondence between Ron, Nancy and Bill. Some of the letters are interesting and many seem superfluous the relationship Buckley had with Reagan. I will persevere and hope for the best. It is extremely rare that I decide to not finish reading a book.
