How Strange and Alive are Plants
This is an outstanding book with a great quantity of explanatory full color photographs.
In it, Attenborough shows us a world we couldn't imagine. He travels around the world in order to describe different environments where plants live. He describes how plants compete with animals to survive by using poison and thorns, and even eating them. Besides, he tells how plants exploit insects and birds to pollinate them and how they colonize territories, and reproduce themselves.
The book is more complete and explanatory than the TV series, so both are complementary to understand the strange life of plants.
Do you know how alive are the plants? I think most don't. I just know it after reading this excellent book!
And please, be away of the pitcher plants!
