While I enjoyed this final piece in the trilogy, I recall enjoying All Over But The Shouting better. BTW, I don't remember anywhere that Rick's dad was made out to be "princely" - and never heard any of the venues referred to as Frogtown; if they were in there, they escaped this reader's attention...
The sidebars with The Boy were well done, and advanced at a proper pace. The long-suffering women were better portrayed than the reprobate men. Although Rick himself seems to come across with clarity
