Fair. Covers show heavy wear. Embossing to covers still visible and attractive, on front voer and spine gilt is still present in embossing. Corners and spine are bumped. Spine is solid and pages seem firmly attached to the text block. End papers are discolored, possibly from a lay-in or removal of book plates. Text block still has gilt on the edges, but gilt is spotty. Interiors have some foxing and unidentifiable discolorations on the edges. All text fully legible, all illustrations seem to be intact. One poem has light underlining. Previous owners name and inscription on first page. Size: 8vo-over 7 3/4 in-9 3/4 in Tall. Year: 1858.
