They have been ever since, and are now accordingly called "Sheep-stealers," because they not only carry off as many as they can of the shepherd's flock, but take care to carry off the best sheep, --the best members of the churches from which they steal. chapter fifth. the hymn book of the darby section of the plymouth brethren. The two sections of the Plymouth Brethren have each of them their own hymn books, and the Bethesda party have a great variety of hymn books. But there is one chiefly compiled by Mr. Darby himself, which is the standard one in his section of the Brethren. Its title is, 'ca Few Hymns and some Spiritual Songs, selected 1856, for the Little Flock." It is called a selection, but it is not wholly so. Mr. Darby himself has contributed some of the hymns, and so have several others of his section of the Brethren. With regard to those hymns which have been selected, they arc all, or nearly all, chosen from the most popular and most evangelical of our hymnologists, but unfortunately they are so mangled, that a greater or less number of verses would not be known to have been the offspring of the Christian poets who penned them.
