Seller's Description:
Kevin Kline, Rex Smith, Alix Korey, Linda Ronstadt, George Rose, Patricia Routledge, Wendy Wolfe, Tony Azito, Alice Playten,... Very good. 1973 Run time: 122.
The performances of Ronstadt, Kline and Smith were excellent, as expected, well up to their movie version. The combination of the camera work and the staging, however, were very disappointing. I was constantly being distracted by lights beaming into the camera, as well as the position of the orchestra pit in mid-stage. Fine for outdoor theater perhaps, but it made for poor filming.
