This is, so far as I know, the only book that covers the entire paleontological history of New Mexico, so is the key book that anyone interested in New Mexico's geological past must have. The author, Professor Keys, is professor of paleontology at the University of New Mexico, so is uniquely placed to be an expert and authority on the subject. He is also a good writer, and the illustrations are excellent. Because I publish a blog about evolution and related subjects (http://www.vivanewmexico.com/blog), I find myself referring to this book nearly every day. It sits on a shelf next to my dictionary.
