Valuable intro on this topic
Probably among the first books to be written on the topic of how to balance an intimate relationship between partners who are naturally wired to experience life very differently from one another. Important topic! If you're looking for a first reference, this is a good one.
First published in 2001, this subject had already evolved a great deal by the time this 2014 edition came out. Reading the 2014 edition and writing this review mid-2023, it's already obvious how much more knowledge, understanding and ongoing discoveries have shifted and advanced current info on this topic. Still, this slim book offers plenty for people exploring it for the first time if they're faced with it on a personal level. Just know that it is dated. So do not stop there.
More and more people of all ages are finding that Asperger Syndrome (no longer officially called that) is relevant in their lives. While we're nearly a quarter of the way through this 21st century, there's plenty more work on this subject to come. Who knows? You might even contribute to that much needed work.
