A rarities compilation of Jeff Mills' work for his own Axis Records, The Other Day isn't the best place to begin if you're interested in Mills' brand of hardcore Detroit techno. In fact, much of the material here isn't at all hardcore; instead, Mills concentrates on half-thought ideas and tracks without much percussion at all.
