The material in this book is even more basic and profound than Permaculture. If you want a vision for living abundantly with nature without manipulating nature, check it out.

Good book on simple living and natural farming.
I haven't finished this book yet but so far it is very good. Speaks of a simple life and attention to nature. Good examples and philosophy. Goes well with permaculture.
