Acceptable/No Jacket. This is a four book set being volumes 16, 17, 18, and 19 of a larger set. The pages are darkened and brittle with age. Eight pages of volume 18 have a large corner torn away. The corners are present and could be taped in place. Two pages have a smaller piece torn away from upper corner. Those pieces are missing. All pages are clean and tight with no marks found. Hinges are all good. Marbled boards with leather spine and tips. Spines have five raised bands and gold print and decoration. Leather shows slight wear at edges and corners. Boards are good. Volume 19 includes postscript and index. This is a beautiful set of books.
