The Silk Roads, an earlier hefty volume by the same author, is an impressive book, an excellent introduction to a region of the world that is virtually unknown to most Americans. The newer book here seems like a very weak attempt to capitalize on the earlier book. It has been physically puffed up to look like a book, but the margins, large font and space between lines give away they fact that there is not much here. And what is here is largely an anti-Trump rant that should be embarrassing to the author.
