Different perspective
The book is very well researched and enjoyable to read. I, like most, was raised on the "Allied" side of history. If wars were won only by the side that had the fewest causalities, we would all be speaking German.
Yes each year Germany did knock off an enemy (Serbia 1915, Romania 1916, and Russia in 1917), but for no avail.
There is without a doubt that America played an undervalued role in stopping the final German offensives, and led in the counter attack after.
The question is would Germany have won? The starvation blockade by Britian was more instrumental in breaking the Germans back than even American intervention.
This book is well worth reading and use it as a balance with what is already published by the Brits and French.
