Seller's Description:
Fine in Fine jacket. Fine Hardcover Fine Dust Jacket A window into the world of the Goddess of Old Europe and the change from the stone age of peace and sharing to one of class status and war. Kind of what happened to the Hippie dream of the Sixties. History is indeed cyclical Here are Danish pictographs and even clothing and the mounds found in Denmark and the stones with the ancient ship markings of these bronze age sea travelers. NOT a library book B/W illus. Great condition. See our Three Geese in Flight Book Scans.
A wonderful book providing a glimps into Bronze Age life in Denmark. I loved this book, and would highly recommend, especially if you are interested in early textiles. I found it really interesting, I didn't know that early man (or woman) was so highly technologically advanced in making textiles. I presumed, very wrongly, that it was all animals skins.
Highly recommend this book but you will find, that it only starts an interest in early textiles and you want to find out more and more.....
