This edition of The Motion Pictures is 54,000 words long. I love the movies, but if I had to live my life all over again, I would not have watched so many. I'm 64 and I've been writing unpublished movie reviews since I was 22. This is a collection of a few of them and this book will continue to grow as I find more old boxes with old reviews in them. Most of the reviews are older movies for obvious reasons. I'm an older guy.Plus I like the way the older ones were made. This is a very cynical book. I feel that the value systems in the movies are generally bad. I have running complaints about a few things: excessive annoying movie music; too much violence; actors 25 years too old for the part, and high speed chases through city streets at noon are likely to be repetitive complaints. Warning: I laughed uproariously at Unfaithfully Yours, with Rex Harrison, and I hated Blazing Saddles.
