I thought I knew the story after watching the television show for several years. I was wrong, very wrong! I laughed so hard I cried! This story probably couldn't be filmed. It is too fantastic. It is full of Scottish Nationalism! If you read this and don't find yourself laughing out loud, something must be wrong with you. I highly recommend this book to everyone!

Sensational
The timing of delivery, the condition of the product & of coarse, the story itself is sensational! Purchasing & shipping from over-the-pond can be leery, especially a few weeks before Christmas yet I've received whole & intact.
All said & done Monarch of the Glen audio was a great success! The recipient loves it & is already on to a second listen. I highly recommend Monarch of the Glen, whether read or listen to, this overlooked classic will always please.

This is light reading, and fun. The use of Gaelic and Gaelic traditions adds interest to the storyand, while not something that you will probably become deeply involved in, it is a worthwhile read. Although quite different from the BBC adaptation, it is interesting to note the places from which the TV series derived it's inspiration.
