Seller's Description:
Fine in fine jacket. Oversized hardcover, 205 pp. with index. Illustrated with photographs including a section of color plates, and with reproductions of advertising and promotional material. Scarce history of "the cleverest little car ever made", the Metropolitan of the mid-1950s. The car was produced from 1954 to 1962; one was owned by Paul Newman but the company also made a major effort to market the vehicle to women. Interviews with the designers and an interesting illustrated section on what the car would have looked like had it continues past 1962. Fine in fine dust jacket.
