THE METHYLATION MIRACLE is a dozen years old now, but it's helpful all the same. Don't be surprised by the chemistry -- the author breaks it down for non-scientists. Methylation is a process which, when working well, produces SAMe, a natural anti-depressant. When not working well, homocysteine levels go up (that's the marker) and problems ensue.
