From Wikipedia: "Georgy Konstantinovich Zhukov; 1 December 1896 18 June 1974), was a Soviet career officer in the Red Army who, in World War II, played the most pivotal role in leading the Red Army drive through much of Eastern Europe to liberate the Soviet Union and other nations from the occupation of the Axis Powers and, ultimately, to conquer Berlin. He is the most decorated general officer in the history of the Soviet Union and Russia. Amongst many notable generals in World War II, Zhukov was placed at the top due to the number and scale of victories, and his talent in operational and strategic command was recognized by many people. Many famous military leaders in the world such as Bernard Montgomery and Dwight D. Eisenhower recognized Zhukov's great contributions in many important victories in WWII. His combat achievements became valuable in humanity's military knowledge, exerting influence on military theory."

I purchased this book because about 25 years ago I was intrested in obtaining another opinion. It seem that comon sense dictated to me that a nation could not sacrafice over 20 million individuals without making a VERY substancial contribution to the victory over that asshole Hitler. My mind desires balance in all assertions. The idea that the United States won the second world war seemed an exagerated statement. So I choose to make up my own mind. If you believe in the constituional rights you actually have a right to your own oppinion. To excersize this right you must gather contributions from every source. General Zhyukov is mearly another source of information on a very defining subject.
