Seller's Description:
None. Fine in Near Fine jacket. The first edition of this science fiction novel from Heinlein's Future History series. With original unclipped dustwrapper. The first edition, as stated to the verso of title page, alongside the copyright details from ten years previously, when Heinlein began his Future History Series. The Future History books describe a projected future of the human race from the middle of the 20th century to the early 23rd century. The Man Who Sold The Moon is a prequel to Heinlein's 'Requiem' and it discusses events around a fictional first Moon landing in 1978 and the schemes of Delos D Harriman, a businessman who has the determination to personally reach and control the moon. Robert A Heinlein was an American science-fiction writer. He was an influential writer and somewhat controversial to the genre of science-fiction in his time. He was one of the first science-fiction authors to break into mainstream magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post and wa some of the best selling science-fiction novelists for decades. In original quarter cloth binding with paper covered boards. Held in original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally, excellent with minor shelfwear to the head and tail of spine. Dustwrapper is very smart, although rather sunned. Just some minor bumping to the head and tail of spine resulting in a very small amount of chipping. Some rubbing to the extremities also. Prior owner's inscription to the verso of front endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean throughout. Fine.
