The Lutheran Pastor is a very interesting and enlightening book for pastors or seminarians interested in getting a broader view of what it means to be a pastor, practically speaking. Each age can be blind to its own assumptions and Gerberding's book unveiled some of mine. A few of the chapters got a little slow as he quoted extensively for Chemnitz, Walther and others, but overall it was a very interesting read.
