The Loch Ness Monster on steroids!! Literally! Excellent adventure-thriller with lots of action. A good mixture of myth and fact make this a great read. One of Alten's best!

Terrific!
I am a big fan of Steven Alten. I read Meg, didn't care much for it, but then I read the firs two books of the Domain series and I was hooked. I didn't know what to think when I found this book though. I borrowed it from the library and after the first few chapters, I went out and bought it. I love the way these books pull together so many interesting facts, it leaves me wondering what is reality and what is the book.

Wet & Wild!
Not the usual Nessie tale, this one's got lots of science in it and an equal amount of suspense. It's a new theory of what the Loch Ness creature could be and how she got to be that way and got to be where she is. The subplots are intricately woven into the science and the nail-biting frights of the story, including that of a marine biologist with a fear of water! Whether myth-building or myth-busting, this story is right up your alley. I had to take several short breaks from my reading during the last third of the tale because the suspense just took my breath away. Truly one of the best books I've read in a long, long time!
